Hotel Descalzo is an absolute gem in Zipolite. Located directly on the beach, it’s the perfect romantic hotel for couple to relax and disconnect. They have a nice garden, a Lovely pool, great beach club with good food and cocktails, and a peaceful atmosphere throughout. The spa is a must, the massages are excellent and Pedro, the manager, is always present, incredibly welcoming, and genuinely attentive to every request.
Stayed for 11 nights and really enjoyed staying at this property. The staff, particularly Pedro and Manuel were excellent! Also a huge shout out to the room cleaning staff who were there daily! A rarity these days it seems! We must also award Hotel Descalzo the award for best toilet paper in Mexico! Lol The rooms are quite comfortable with everything you need. Because of it's location to the beach, we didn't ever need to use the a/c. Only suggestion would be for offering service to the beach lounges prior to the bar opening from the restaurant. It wasn't that you couldn't order by walking up to the restaurant and asking, but servers were mostly not busy and could be a better revenue producer if they would offer service. This next suggestion isn't for the property necessarily, but we feel like it would be a nice to have a food tour in Zipolite to showcase some of the amazing restaurants there. There is most definitely a food scene happening here!

Its always a great start returning to Descalzo and being greeted by Pedro! He and Manuel are cool and always very friendly. I enjoy coming here because its central on the beach, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the rooms are pretty and the staff is very helpful. This time i treated myself to a facial by Erika and it was great (loved the organic products she used as well). As before would definitely return!

exceeded our expectations. The service and guest care were truly exceptional—Pedro took incredible care of our group and made us feel welcomed and looked after from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, easily one of the best spots on the beach, with stunning views and direct access to the ocean. A special place that we would absolutely return to and highly recommend.
